The Parents Supervised Driving Program

In 2009, Safe Roads Alliance developed The Parent’s Supervised Driving Program, which focuses on providing parents with tools to help their teen drivers through the learning process with an ultimate goal of teaching teens how to become safe, smart and independent drivers. Safe Roads Alliance currently partners with licensing agencies in 25 states, plus Washington D.C, to provide The Parent’s Supervised Driving Program at no cost to the state, parents or teens. Safe Roads Alliance has received national recognition for the effectiveness of The Parent’s Supervised Driving Program and is the recipient of the 2020 Lifesavers Public Safety Award, the Governor’s Highway Safety Administration 2014 Peter O’Rourke Special Achievement Award, as well as the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) and National Roadway Safety Foundation 2013 National Roadway Safety Award.

We also developed an app to help families track their driving experience together and to keep safety tips top of mind. The RoadReady app offers parents and teens an easy, educational and convenient way to log the state required supervised driving time with the click of a button. Find out more information about RoadReady here, and download in the Apple Store or Google Play.
