Making our roads safer for everyone.
Safe Roads Alliance was formed in 2006 as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting safer driving through education and advocacy.
We provide educational services to all drivers on various aspects of driving safety, including: distracted driving, driving safety for teen drivers and their parents, speeding, sharing the roads with pedestrians, cyclists, and other motorists.
Safe Roads Alliance developed The Parent's Supervised Driving Program in an effort to reach out to parents of teens who hold a Learner's Permit. Getting enough of the right kind of experience during this phase of driving has shown to be a critical factor in reducing teen crash rates. Teen drivers with an awareness of the importance of road safety, become safer adult drivers. Parental involvement is an important component of that effort.
Safe Roads Alliance has also partnered with End Distracted Driving (EndDD.org) to develop an in-classroom program for grades 2 ‒ 6 on the topic of distracted driving. Our KIDS SPEAKING UP FOR ROAD SAFETY PROGRAM introduces students to the concept of distraction and how it affects us in our daily lives. The lesson teaches communication skills to help students speak up effectively and respectfully when their adult driver is distracted and when they feel unsafe as a car passenger.
